Millenium Nutrients Foundation Formula
Millenium Foundation Formula nutrients are formulated for general cropping applications, and are designed for high yields. For plants with stronger dietary requirements you can also try Millennium Garden's Custom Formula line of products, which are designed for heavy feeders (hops, tomatoes, peppers etc.). The Foundation line is comprised of three products: Foundation Base (the central nutrient), and Foundation Grow and Bloom (the two seasonal nutrients). Millenium Foundation nutrients are based on the concept of seasonality. This means that plants have different nutritional needs in their different growth cycles (seasons) and in order for a nutrient line to be effective it must address these seasonal dietary requirements.
By altering the ratios of Micro to Minor to Major elements throughout a plant's life, we provide the specific diets plants need in all of their growth seasons. We accomplish this change in ratios by combining the central nutrient (Foundation Base) with the two seasonal nutrients (Foundation Grow and Bloom) over the course of a plants life. Foundation Base contains calcium, magnesium, potassium the baseline micro-nutrients needed throughout a plant's life. Foundation Formula Grow and Bloom each contain custom minor and micro-elements designed for their specific stage of growth. By structuring the nutrient line in this way we are able to provide a balanced seasonal diet that is essential for plants to maximize their potential and maintain health.
The Foundation Formula Product Line
The Foundation Formula nutrients allow for complete feeding of all plant types, and in normal to custom growing regimes. The Foundation nutrients are designed to be "stress less", because they provide plants with the necessary elements at the necessary times without forcing the plant to exercise by shifting elements internally.
Foundation Base is the central nutrient and contains calcium, nitrogen, potassium and the other baseline micro-elements necessary for plant growth. Foundation Base is to be used throughout the crop cycle in conjunction with the appropriate crop phase Seasonal Nutrient (Foundation Grow and Bloom). Foundation Base is made in both soft or hard water formulas. The soft water version of Foundation has specific added minerals to help make up for what has been removed by reverse osmosis filtration and/or distillation. The hard water version of Foundation has reduced mineral content to compensate for the "hardness" in native water, particularly CaCO3. The hard water formula of Foundation Base also contains specific chelates to make hard water minerals available to plants. Foundation Grow is a "grow" type nutrient for starting plants and is used with Foundation Base until the end of the full vegetative growth phase. Foundation Grow feeds plants what is specifically needed during the two leaf to full leaf canopy stage of life. Foundation Grow is a custom blended fertilizer with specific micro-elements for plant frames, root development, and building leaf canopies. Foundation Grow and its special micro nutrient blend are for developing and maturing a rapid, robust vegetative cycle of plant growth and flower/fruit sizing for greater dry weight yield. Foundation Grow should be used until a plant's frame and foliage are sized up, light interval diminishes, and the bloom/fruit phase of growth begins. Foundation Grow can also be used at half strength by itself for seedlings, cuttings, and transplants. Foundation Grow has been designed so that in addition to normal root feeding it can also be foliar fed. Foliar feeding is done to prevent the slowing of growth if and when the roots become a bottleneck during explosive vegetative production. Foundation Grow allows plants to build a balanced carbohydrate reserve to be drawn upon during the crop's sexual maturation and production phase. Foundation Bloom is a "bloom" type nutrient that is combined with Foundation Base, and replaces Foundation Grow. Foundation Bloom is the seasonal nutrient for adult plants and feeds plants what is specifically needed during the fruit or flowering stage of life. Bloom is a well-balanced plant diet with micro-nutrients that provide plants what they need to produce lipids, oil essences, and complete amino acids for protein production. Foundation Bloom is used with the central nutrient Foundation Base, and is used from the stage of a fully developed plant with a mature frame and a complete leaf canopy until harvest. Foundation Bloom is a nutrient that is used to reduce plant vigor, ripen flowers/fruit, and maintain health. Foundation Bloom is used for the final maturing of plants.
